Lianne and Skip: a city wedding {Piedmont Park, Atlanta, Ga.}

I get the best interns and assistants. Not only because my business wouldn’t be the same with out them, but because they are always fabulous girls that I get to watch “grow up” in this industry. This was definitely the way with Lianne. She started interning with me several years ago while she was still in school at Auburn University. While I got to know her through work, I also heard about this guy named Skip. From everything I had heard, he was full of personality and there was never a dull moment with the two of them.

Flash forward to this May where I got to help Lianne as she walked down the aisle to marry her college sweet heart in Atlanta, Ga’s Piedmont Park. It was one of the most touching weddings I’ve been a part of. Maybe because Lianne and her family are super close (she and her brother are partners in crime). Maybe because of Lianne’s Puerto Rican heritage (hello amazing buffet and salsa dancing… how you doing?); Maybe because of Skip’s reaction to seeing his bride walk down the aisle (it makes me re-think the first look trend in weddings). Maybe because their wedding party was so nice to be around and clearly very close to Lianne and Skip (those types of wedding parties that feels like a super exclusive club that you would love to be in). Probably all of those things! But, mostly because I got to know Lianne and I could not be happier to watch her be the bride after so many weddings together. She was stunning!

So, I’ll let you get on to the fabulous images from Once Like A Spark Photography. You will see what I mean about that first look! And, I’ll leave you with a quote that sums up so much of their fun personality. Because I am so behind the scenes at a wedding, I get to see and hear some of the best parts of a wedding. From Skip to Lianne as they walked out of the ceremony, “By the way, you are smokin!” I 100% agree!

Congratulations Lianne and Skip! I am out of words to tell you how happy I am for you guys!

Until next time… XOXO, Julie
