When it comes to deciding how to wear those lovely locks on your wedding day, there are so many different options! Growing up as a hairdresser’s daughter, I’ve always loved to play around with different styles and ways to wear my hair, and one of my favorite styles to work with is vintage. The awesome thing about vintage hairstyles is the versatility of the different styles. They can range all over the board, from fun to glamorous or a more simple look that works with all different lengths and textures of hair. Besides, a little vintage touch to your wedding day wardrobe will look absolutely stunning and can be a lot of fun too! Here are some of my favorite vintage hairstyles to try for your debut on the wedding aisle.
Watch out Gatsby. These lovely hair accessories can be a unique addition to your wedding hairstyle. Feathers, beaded headbands and vintage jewelry add just the right touch and can be as understated or bold as you want. Another alternative to the bolder, across the forehead headband is a more delicate band that sits further back.
For a soft, glamorous look that frames the face, these vintage waves are the perfect choice! These big waves can add a little bit of personality to a more simple dress, but they can also pair well with a more elaborate gown. Not to mention, this is an easy style and can work well with all lengths of hair.
Smooth Pin Curls
Pin curls are such a classic way to wear your hair for your wedding day. The shape of the curls add a good deal of volume at the bottom, while the smoothed top gives the style a more put together look. I especially love the lifted sideswept bangs that add a little bit of a dramatic look to the frame of the face.
I hope you enjoy this little touch of vintage and the rest of your Fashion Friday,
