Sarah and Allen’s perfect fall wedding {Swann Lake Stables, Birmingham, AL}

Sometimes I get really, really lucky and get to plan a Birmingham wedding with the most unbelievable couple and their family. Case in point when Sarah’s mom, Laurie, stumbled upon us online and gave me a call to set up a consult.

From the moment I met Laurie and Sarah I knew I wanted to work with this bride. Sarah was funny, vivacious, and I could just tell she had the biggest and truest heart, ever. I guess it doesn’t hurt that she is stunningly gorgeous and has a creative flair, either. Put Allen in the picture and things really get magical!

Sarah and Allen are the type of couple who inspire you. She is an ER nurse at Children’s in Birmingham and he is the Director and Founder of Sozo Children, an orphanage in Uganda. They are kind, patient, and unwavering in their faith. They love unconditionally in a world where love seems to be just the opposite. And, to top it all off, you can see the joy they bring to each other radiate and beam off their face. I truly want to be them when I grow up!

So, of course, their wedding day was nothing short of perfect. A crisp, sunny November Saturday tucked away at Swann Lake Stables in Cahaba Heights was the ultimate setting to proclaim their vows before God, family and friends. Add in a dream team to include Mandy with HotHouse, Savoie serving up southern favorites and Cameron Freshwater behind the lenses to capture it all, and well friends, it really was the best day ever.

Sarah and Allen, I wish you a lifetime of joy and a heart full of love and laughter. It was an honor to work with you both and I hope to see you soon! Cheers!… Courtney
