Hi hello hey y’all! My name is Brianna and I’m the newest intern at Invision Events, which means I get to occasionally takeover the blog! Fast facts about me? The only thing I love more than good coffee is good live music. Concerts give me an unhealthy amount of joy, as do Golden Retriever puppies. I am confident that Kristen Wiig and I would be best friends. My goal in life is to one-day get the chance to say, “Live from New York…it’s Saturday Night!”

It’s the part of the wedding we all anxiously wait for…the cutting of the cake. Whether chocolate, vanilla or strawberry, I can’t deny that I will be in line for it. My favorite part of wedding cakes are the personalized details that each bride chooses to emphasize on her cake. As we head into the fall season there are endless opportunities for cake decor! Take a look at a couple wedding cakes that are sure to make your mouth water!

You can’t go wrong with a traditional vanilla icing cake with flowers to accent. With an elegant essence, I’m slightly obsessing over this wedding cake from Mallie and Mark‘s special day. The cake was make by local Birmingham bakery, Barb’s Cakes.

With fall right around the corner I’m so loving all of the muted, darker colors on vintage style cakes! You can’t go wrong with the rustic shabby chic look.

Go for the gold! How beautiful is this gorgeous hand painted wedding cake with gold gilt on a pretty shade of taupe?! Combining the pink flowers with the taupe and gold create a perfect finish.

Now it’s his turn. My brother got married this summer and decided on a giant cookie cake with an the Auburn logo on it! It was so easy and great! I also love that doughnuts are taking over the wedding industry! Mmmm.
