Happy Wedding Week to Sarah and Alex! {An Engagement Session with Mary Margaret Smith}

It’s a happy, happy wedding week for Sarah + Alex and the weather couldn’t be behaving any better for us. It may be February, but this is an Alabama wedding we’re talking about and come Saturday we are in for sunshine and warming temperatures in the mid 60s. Don’t mind if I do, winter wedding.

Just to give you a little background, Sarah is the ever so eloquent behind the scenes half of Empress Stationery. Her sister, Jessica, is probably the one you all know so well. But make no mistake, the brand and it’s mission wouldn’t be possible without Sarah (and Kat, too – but that’s another post)!

I’m completely honored that Sarah has placed her trust in us to serve her in such a special capacity on her wedding weekend and I sure hope she’s enjoyed the ride along the way! It’s been so lovely getting to know her and Alex as a couple and they are such a dynamic duo. I am really excited to see all the greatness that their future holds.

A fantastic vendor line up is in store and y’all, let me tell you, this team is as good as it gets. I’m talking Birmingham wedding allstars! To start us off, one of my personal favorites, Mary Margaret Smith, will be behind the lens capturing every moment as it unfolds at The Barn at Shady Lane. We also have Ashley and Matt, of Hampton Road Studios, on board and you all know how I feel about their work (insert heart eyes here). Kathleen Varner of Edna K Designs is on florals, Danny and crew from D’Armond Catering will be serving up some good ‘ol fashioned southern favorites and we’ll be dancing the night away to the sounds of Big Night Dynamite.
