New for 2018: Our Must-Do B’ham Bucket List

Twenty-seventeen has been an amazing year at Invision, but we’re already gearing up for 2018! While we’ve got our work cut out for us, we love seeing our Birmingham brides enjoying the city we adore and call home. Before the new year hits, we’re bringing you a 2018 month-by-month bucket list, which will have you experiencing Birmingham’s amazing sights, tastes and sounds. Check off as many as you can, and let us know your favorites in the comments!

January
Bundle up and catch a fabulous Broadway show in one of our city’s amazing venues. This month, see Kinky Boots at the BJCC (Jan. 5-7) or Chicago at the Virginia Samford Theater (Jan. 25-Feb. 11).

February
Whether or not you’re a runner, support the participants (or participate, yourself!) in Birmingham’s annual Mercedes-Benz Marathon Weekend (Feb. 9-11), which weaves athletes among historic landmarks throughout the Magic City.

March
This month, indulge your femininity with an amazing, classic performance of Swan Lake (March 2-4), presented by our own, incredibly talented Alabama Ballet.

April
The Birmingham Barons’ season opener always occurs at the start of this month. Grab a beer and hotdog and enjoy one of the first games while the weather is still pleasantly cool.

May
It’s the perfect time to get outside before the summer heat wave hits! Grab a drink with friends at Uptown, then head over to Topgolf Birmingham for an evening of friendly competition.

June
The produce of the Southeast is, no doubt, best in the summer. Head over to The Market at Pepper Place for the freshest fruits, veggies, soaps, pies, hand-made goods and more!

July
Escape the heat with a visit to one of our city’s beautiful museums, like the Birmingham Museum of Art, The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute or McWane Science Center.

August
Pick an original, Birmingham eatery you’ve never been to before, and indulge your palate! One of our all-time favorites is Chez Fonfon, although Real & Rosemary is a super close second.

September
The Blazers are back! At the start of football season, head down to UAB and cheer on our city’s beloved team.

October
Each October, the Birmingham Botanical Gardens presents Antiques at the Gardens, which features antiques, furniture, fine art, jewelry and more from across the United States. Don’t miss out, and don’t forget your formal attire!

November
It’s almost the holiday season! Make your way over to Railroad Park’s Brrrmingham, and skate on our very own rink – complete with hot chocolate and a warm, delicious meal.

December
Catch a Christmas movie at the gorgeous Alabama Theater! Classic and popular pictures like White Christmas, Home Alone and Elf are on constant rotation, so be sure to purchase tickets in advance, and get there early!

Any of these to-do’s would make a fabulous date night. And, if you need a few more ideas, check out what we have planned, here!
