Emily and Jameson: A Vibrant, Fresh, Spring Wedding {The Clubhouse on Highland Birmingham, AL}

When I first met with Emily and her mother, Abbey, I instantly felt the excitement and love for this sweet couple. I knew this particular wedding was going to be all about my favorite part of any wedding: family.

The Clubhouse on Highland is a historic Craftsman-style home filled with original dark, rich wood and unique tile designs. On this lovely April day, the home was surrounded by blooming white roses, the perfect canvas for a wedding. The interior of the home was filled with light and airy arrangements by Lillie’s. The spring palette consisted of bright white flowers with pops of reds, yellows, and pinks. Emily’s bridesmaids wore coral red dresses which added a fun and happy spirit throughout the day.

The gorgeous bride posed in front of the impressive home in her elegant white lace gown from Bella’s Bridal. Emily was glowing with hair and makeup by Morgan Ashley Salon. Her hair was classically swept back and her lips were the same shade of coral red as the bridesmaid’s dresses.

In true southern tradition, guests were welcomed by a large front porch with seating perfect for socializing. The ceremony took place at the back of the home under the large oak trees and a canopy of crepe myrtles. The couple’s dear friend, Josh Moore, played acoustic guitar and sentimental songs chosen by the bride and groom. Surrounded by friends and family, Emily’s stepfather united the two in marriage. Afterwards, guests were invited for dinner and dancing thanks to Savoie Catering and Feel the Beat Entertainment. A light mint green wedding cake, by Dreamcakes, was on display in the middle of the foyer. The couple departed into their new life together under the glowing light of sparklers.
