I may not have ever formally said this, but when another wedding vendor refers to us, it means the world. What an honor it is that they trust us completely, to not only to work alongside, but to also serve their client. Powerful stuff, y’all. And that brings me to recent Birmingham bride Claire and her groom, Jacob, who came our way earlier this year via some of our favorites, Kelli + Daniel Taylor Photography.
Claire is an interior designer, so she’s got a great eye and loves color. She’s also not afraid to be bold and play outside of the box…no soft neutrals for this gal! It was a fun mix of everything bright, geometric and Kate Spade for this spring wedding.
Claire and Jacob were married in the church Claire grew up in, St. Alyosius, on a Friday afternoon in April. It may have been raining that day, but you’d never know it. Claire was glowing, and to be honest, so was Jacob. They couldn’t wait to be married!
The girls wore a stunning shade of jade and carried colorful spring bouquets from Jackie Johns. The guys looked extra dapper in their white dinner jackets, a personal favorite. The bride carried an orchid composite bouquet and was stunning in her beaded and tulle gown from Something Blue Shoppe. Of course, in true Claire fashion, she finished her look with a dazzling pair of confetti glitter Kate Spade heels, complete with a bow.
After they shared their vows in front of family and friends it was off to a Birmingham favorite, The Club, where guests were treated to a sit down dinner with entertainment provided by The Neons. The reception was the ultimate party complete with mardi gras beads and the groom’s rendition of Whitney Houston’s “Dance with Somebody” at the end of the night. Definitely one of my all time favorite reception moments, like ever. Oh, and yeah, who could forget her cake? Totally amazing and every bit as delicious as it looked.
Claire and Jacob, we had so much fun working with you and thank you for inviting us to be a part of your special day. It was definitely one to remember! We wish you all the best in the years to come and hope you enjoyed your time together in St. Lucia!
Cheers! Courtney
