Simrin and Jimmy’s wedding brought color, celebration and a genuine joy to the Biltmore Ballrooms in Atlanta this past December. This power couple (she’s finishing up her program to become a nurse anesthetist and he’s a CPA) met while attending the University of Alabama and instantly became inseparable. Their school pride is telling, as their wedding date could not conflict with the national championship playoff games over the New Year’s holiday, of course. To say they are best friends would be an understatement and with each of them comes an extra thread of kindness and the best senses of humor around. They were truly the perfect way for us to end our 2018 and we loved every second we got to spend with them!
The custom welcome boxes each guest received when they checked into the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown included mini bottles of prosecco, monogram cookies from Hey Kat Bakes, bangles and bindis along with other celebration essentials. A personal touch to remember Jimmy’s father by along with a beautiful display of Simrin’s henna.
Keeping with the time of year (Simrin & Jimmy were married the day before New Year’s Eve!), Simrin opted for a little sparkle in her girls’ attire.
The stunning combo of color, texture & greenery were courtesy of the talented team at Tulip. The hand tied bouquet Simrin carried included baby blue ivy, lemon leaf, pine, bells of ireland, and italian ruscus, which hit all the right seasonal notes.
The couple chose to honor both of their heritages and while they held a traditional, Christian ceremony everyone eventually changed into colorful saris including bangles & bindis for the reception complete with a menu of Indian favorites, compliments of Cafe Bombay.
Greenery and candlelight accent the custom fabricated seating chart with calligraphy from Julie of Piper Vine.
The Biltmore Ballrooms in Midtown Atlanta was the absolute perfect setting for this glamorous sit down dinner. Full of blush tones complimented with deep fuschias, black and white and gold touches also abounded as a nod to the upcoming New Year’s celebration.
Guests were treated to a three tiered bride’s cake from Alpine Bakery that included an Oreo cookie layer.
Sirmin & her girls in their authentic, custom and colorful saris. Our favorite! With Victor Villatoro behind the lens, you know every moment is going to be magic.
To cap it all off, Yvonne Monet and her crew kept the beats spinning and the party cranking all night long. It was so crazy at one point, Jordan Jeffares of Ballroom Blitz Events was standing on his table and singing along with the crowd to a rendition of a Blink 182 song, a moment we will never forget! The newlyweds and their guests then enjoyed a late night sweet treat on the dance floor from Cookie Fix, Jimmy’s favorite.
