My first impression of Kayla was that she was a chic and sophisticated lady yet classically southern, my favorite kind of bride! I also knew her wedding day would be nothing short of perfect. Throughout the planning process with Kayla and Jonathan one thing was apparent, they wanted to have a good time and they wanted their guests to have a good time.
The couple married at Independent Presbyterian Church on Highland Avenue. If you have never had the opportunity to visit this church, please do. The architecture, design, and spectacular stain glass, make it comparable to any cathedral in Europe…and it’s right here in the heart of Birmingham.
Christopher Joseph Designs created dramatic spring arrangements and bouquets that accented the neutral grey bridesmaids dresses and classic tuxedos worn by the groom and groomsmen. Our bride was stunning in her form fitting lace wedding dress and long flowing vail.
Kayla has always admired the historical beauty of the Tutwiler Hotel. She and Jonathan had the opportunity to capture some moments of their special day in a red 1951 Packard 250 convertible thanks to Rob Conrad’s Classic Cars with the Tutwiler as the backdrop.
After the couple became husband and wife, they celebrated at Inverness Country Club. The club managers and staff were such gracious hosts, professional, and wonderful to work with. Christopher Joseph Designs transformed the ballroom into the chic, classic, southern atmosphere that was so important to Kayla and Jonathan. Fun is what this coupled wanted and fun is what they had as they danced the night away to the tunes of Bobby Moore and the Rhythm Aces.
After enjoying the delicious assortment of southern fare guests were treated to a gorgeous pink wedding cake. This is my new favorite wedding cake, not only was it pink but it was delicious thanks to Magic Muffins. Guests and loved ones sent the couple into wedded bliss with a sparkler departure in their lovely red convertible. It was truly a pleasure working with both Kayla and Jonathan. Best wishes and a long and joyous marriage to you both! A special thanks to Sweet Julep Photography and Apex Creative Solutions for the many lovely images and videography.
