Haley and Kevin are both very close with their families and everyone played a part in celebrating this special day. The couple met while students at Auburn University. Their first look was on Samford Lawn, a significant place for any Auburn alum. The beautiful bride, Haley, looked as if she had just stepped off a runway at some fashion show. Her wedding gown was flowing and elegant, it looked as if it were made just for her. Her bouquet was loose and wild with pops of pastel springtime blossoms.
The ceremony and reception were held at Moore’s Mill Club. Haley and Kevin were married on the lawn overlooking the rolling hills of the golf course. The focal point was a large cross made by the bride’s uncle. It made the perfect statement, adorned with fresh flowers.
The reception took place under the rustic yet sophisticated pavilion at Moore’s Mill. Instead of the traditional wedding cake, the bride and groom’s grandmothers, aunts, and close family friends brought several homemade cakes, including; chocolate pound cake, coconut, strawberry, and Grecian Orange cake. The cakes were set on a long, white farm table, making a simple and sweet display.
The couple continued their celebration with a night of dancing. Haley has been dancing since she was a little girl and danced while in college. Of course it wouldn’t do to have the same old first dances. This professional dancer had a choreographed dance first with her mother and sister and then all of her bridesmaids joined the fun. It was truly the highlight of the night.
Later that evening, the groom’s family continued a tradition celebrated in lower Alabama, the wine dance. Guests could enjoy homemade fruit wine and have their turn dancing with the bride and groom for a gift to the couple. The couple ended the night with a classic sparkler send off and guests left with homemade blackberry jelly made by the bride and her grandmother. The perfect finishing touch for a couple who wanted nothing more than to celebrate with the ones they loved the most.
