We are thrilled to feature this special couple on the blog today! Brittany and Alex knew they wanted to be surrounded by only their most loved and cherished as they said their wedding vows. On a gorgeous springtime Saturday, their dream came true in an intimate ceremony for thirty of their closest friends and family in the Birmingham Museum of Art’s Sculpture Garden.
Brittany and her bridesmaids prepared for the day at the historic Tutwiler Hotel in downtown Birmingham. Mary Margaret Smith Photography was there to capture every detail as Brittany slipped on a chic two-piece ensemble. The dress featured a lace cropped top and skirt by Alexandra Grecco that she discovered at Kelly’s Closet.
The intimate ceremony was followed by a larger reception at the B&A Warehouse, with gourmet stations stocked with Chinese food and fajitas. Simple greenery arrangements by HotHouse Design Studio were illuminated by candles, café lights, and paper lanterns. The groom even gave a toast to his new bride before their first dance, thanking guests for celebrating such a special day together.
It was the weekend of the Masters Tournament, and the reception played up the golf theme. Pimento cheese sandwiches and Arnold Palmer drinks were served at cocktail hour alongside the groom’s golf ball cake pops. Alexander even had a replica masters jacket displayed at his table.
Keeping things downtown, the newlyweds took an Uber as their getaway car at the end of the night.
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Denson!
Cheers,
Courtney
