Planning with Rachel and Clark on their Birmingham wedding was seriously the bees knees and I truly enjoyed every moment spent with these two. Rachel is what we would consider our “dream client.” She came to us with a style in mind, but ultimately put complete trust in us. Due to our knowledge, experience, and aesthetic we were able to design and orchestrate everything to perfection. The end result was nothing short of a spectacular, urban and refined downtown winter wedding at the Birmingham Museum of Art.
We settled on a color palette of a deep marsala, cool icy blue (hello Pantone 2016 color of the year!) and various complementing shades of ivory, champagne and even marigold. We brought this to life with florals by Buffy Hargett who even incorporated kale and pomegranate. It was absolutely stunning!
And while the snow might have kept some guests stranded along the east coast, the celebration and party went off without a hitch. Guests noshed on delicious fare by A Social Affair and enjoyed a specialty coffee bar complete with personalized mugs featuring the couple’s monogram. We especially loved that the newlyweds asked friend, Chad Fisher, (who tours with St. Paul and the Broken Bones) to entertain us all with his band. Everyone had a blast and the dance floor was packed all night long.
The couple enjoyed a classic departure in a ’68 Mercedes courtesy of the fine folks with Coats Classic Cars. To top it all off, the fabulous Mary Margaret Smith captured it all! Thanks to the dream team of vendors for making this winter wedding one for the record books, and Rachel and Clark, we hope your adventures in South America were the perfect way to start your life together!
