For any bride, your grand exit is the last hurrah of the evening, so it deserves a good bit of thought. Will you use a getaway car? Should you give out sparklers or shakers? Today, we’re giving brides four send-off ideas that will have guests talking long after the weekend is over.
Throw something.
Whether you choose confetti, rose petals, faux snow, lavender or bubbles, have guests shower you and your new husband with something colorful, aromatic or seasonal. It’ll make for fantastic photos, and your guests will enjoy having a part in your big exit. Sparklers are also a classic – just don’t throw them. 😉
Show team spirit.
If you’re having a fall wedding, this one is a must (especially if you’re in the South)! Give out team shakers to guests, play a fight song and/or have everyone chant a gameday cheer as you’re making your way out.
Light up the sky.
If you’re really looking to make an impact on your way out, put on a fireworks show that guests will not soon forget. There’s nothing more climactic or dazzling than watching the sky come to life for 5-10 minutes before you hop in your getaway car. This will likely be one of the last (and most fabulous) photo opportunities.
Get crafty.
Create ribbon wands with satin ribbon that match your color palette, or order colorful craft pompoms in bulk. Another idea you can easily knock out in the craft section of any convenience store, are large gold or silver sequins are perfect for the glam bride.
