I had the good fortune to have been called on by Kayla’s sweet mother a while ago about directing her daughter’s wedding in the spring. Janie was gracious, sweet and couldn’t have been a better part of my work life at that moment. I knew I wanted to work with them.
I met with Kayla and her mom at Auburn’s Kiesel Park to discuss their wedding plans. Ceremony in the field, dancing under the pavilion, afternoon start time, a bit shabby chic. I could see it now. It would be beautiful.
My team had a beautiful time working with the whole crew that had a part of Kayla and Wesley’s day. Lisa Thorne of Thorne and Thistle designed a lovely setting including the beautiful flowers that adorned every surface. Judy Sellers of A Little Taste of Home brought her talents with the amazing menu (truth be told, I’m always more than a little excited to know she’s catering a wedding), music was done by none other than Auburn favorite Tim Tyler and Malisa Harris of Sweet Malisa’s did a gorgeous cake and cookie favors. The day was perfectly put together. Lastly, hugs and major thanks to photographer Eliza Morrill for being more than just a pleasure to work with. You perfectly captured this pretty day! Thank you for letting us share the photos here!
So, enjoy this spring park wedding. Kayla and Wesley, you have a light and a sweetness about your relationship. It’s clear that you two have a deep love and respect for your life together. I wish you both nothing but the best that can come!
