After a stunning sunset proposal followed by a dream vacation to Playa del Carmen, Anna and Robert couldn’t wait to tie the knot in front of all of their friends and family last Spring. A golf lover, Robert knew exactly the location that would provide a beautiful and sentimental location- The Country Club of Birmingham! Robert grew up learning to play golf at the very place he would marry the woman of his dreams, and it was positively perfect.
Family heirlooms showered the couple’s wedding day in more ways than one. Anna’s gorgeous engagement ring was designed around one of Robert’s grandmother’s diamonds, and Anna’s grandmother’s aunt’s diamond was also passed down to Anna on her wedding day. Anna’s family diamond was placed in an antique setting as a unique and especially beautiful way to honor her family in a personal way. Not to mention, Anna’s timeless Heidi Elnora gown was the perfect complement to her family heirloom veil, and hand-stitched handkerchiefs provided hints of blue.
Anna’s bouquet, courtesy of Hot House Design Studio, was the perfect assortment of peonies, garden roses, and ranunculus in ivory and blush pink. The classically beautiful assortment was perfect for a traditional and fresh Southern wedding. The florals were accompanied with light blue Bella Bridesmaids dresses and paired with a gang of handsome men in white jackets. We can confidently say this bridal party was a genuine group of stunners.
The ceremony was held at Canterbury United Methodist Church, followed by a bright and airy reception back at The Country Club of Birmingham. The reception’s florals and decor, courtesy of Hot House Design Studio, were in one word: breathtaking. The jaw-dropping floral arrangement at the bar gave guests all the more reason to visit the bartender for the couple’s signature drink- Mississippi Mud Slides!
We knew a bride’s cake from Sweet Magnolia’s would be the perfect accent to flawlessly complete the look, with ivory florals with a hint of blush cascading down the side (and it was delicious too!) Anna and Robert’s wedding was full of class and the couple’s beaming smiles made the atmosphere breezy and fun for all of their loved ones as they danced the night away. And to top off an already perfect day, the couple drove off in a retro red convertible.
Congratulations Anna and Robert! We love y’all!
