It’s amazing the impact social media has on our lives these days! I first learned about Marija and Will’s destination wedding in Georgia, and their need for a day-of wedding coordinator through a post on a wedding Facebook group made by our sweet friend Natalia Scott Perkins of Tailor & Table.
Marija and Will had all the details planned out, but Marija was in Texas, and their destination wedding was being held in Big Canoe, Georgia, and she just needed a little help pulling it all together!
Natalia (Marija’s sorority sister from UGA!) and Bart of Tailor & Table designed the event and Marija’s beautiful florals, which featured GORGEOUS pink peonies in the middle of August and bright summer colors! The four tier wedding cake and the groom’s cake in the shape of Texas was designed by Sweet Caroline’s Cakes. The Stephen Lee Band completed the vendor line up for the big day! Marija’s father (the most hospitable event professional I’ve ever met, by the way!) manages The Clubhouse at Big Canoe, so there was no shortage of delicious eats and drink over the weekend!
What I remember best about the time leading up to the big day were my phone calls with Marija. I instantly connected with her, and she made me laugh every time we talked, even though she was stressed about planning a destination wedding while being halfway across the country! We did not get to officially meet in person until the day of her rehearsal, but it felt like I was meeting an old friend at that point! Marija has one of the warmest personalities of any bride I have worked with. Marija, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your and Will’s big “Hoppe” day!
x,
Kaitlynne
