A bachelorette trip is the perfect time to reconnect with your best gals for one last hurrah before your big day. Ditch the inconvenience of travel time, and check out five nearby trip destinations any Southern bride will appreciate. [Cue the bubbly!]
For the Old Soul: Savannah, GA
It doesn’t get more Southern than Savannah, Georgia! This historic port city on the east coast of Georgia boasts loads of history, gorgeous scenery and more than enough to see and do. Stay at the Bohemian Hotel or Andaz. Explore the vibrant night life, enjoy lunch or dinner at Paula Dean’s The Lady & Sons restaurant or spend a day at local Spa Bleu.
For the Foodie: Charleston, SC
Similar to Savannah, this South Carolina port city is home of the low country! Stay at the swanky Planter’s Inn or hip hotel The Vendue. Chow down at Magnolia’s, and enjoy a night cap at The Gin Joint, which features a drink selection called “Bartender’s Choice.” (After choosing two words from the list, the bartender whips up a custom cocktail just for you!) Another favorite of ours is the Squeeze Bar! Don’t forget to hit up the shopping on King Street and at Charleston City Market, and be sure to check out Charleston Shoe Company – SO cute!
For the Music Lover: Nashville, TN
Calling all country fans! Nashville is the perfect spot for the music-loving bride. Stay at the Union Station Hotel, once Nashville’s main train station, or the gorgeous, five-star Hermitage Hotel. After a night out on Lower Broadway, enjoy brunch at the Pancake Pantry, followed by a a Nashville Pedal Tavern tour, a 16-person bicycle – and a party on wheels! Don’t forget to check out The Bluebird Café for great celeb spotting and fabulous, singer-songwriter music.
For the City Girl: Atlanta, GA
Atlanta is perfectly central to all Southern states, making it an amazing bachelorette party location. Treat yourselves to a stay at The St. Regis Atlanta (check out King & Duke right next door!), The Ritz Carlton Buckhead or the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta. Check out the luxe shopping at Phipps Plaza or Lenox Square (Neiman and Louis, we love you!), or keep it laid back with a fun visit to the World of Coca-Cola or the Georgia Aquarium. Make plans to dine at The Optimist, which offers fabulous seafood, or Bartaco, a stylish Mexican food restaurant with creative tacos and cocktails.
For the Sun Goddess: Miami, FL
If your bride is looking to get a tan, look no further than Miami, Florida, for a bachelorette trip destination! This south Florida city is home to South Beach, Little Havana and Key Biscayne. Reserve a room at The Setai Hotel or Mandarin Oriental Miami, and be sure to check out The Drawing Room and Employees Only for some fabulous mixed drinks and vibrant nightlife. Dine at The Capital Grille, Zuma or La Mar by Gaston Acurio, which offers a 5-star view of the water.
While it’s fun to plan fun trips to amazing locations, in the end, it’s all about who you’re with – not where you are. And if you’re surrounded by all your besties, you really can’t go wrong, no matter where you decide to host your bachelorette party!
